NFTs are "one-of-a-kind" assets in the digital world that can be bought and sold like any other piece of 'property', but which have no tangible form of their own... like Trump's 2020 platform.
Prior to his deportation to Albania, Editor Ned Ander-Thal resided in the Oakland, California (see HERE). Besides the standard gourmet fare of Taco Bell, Wendy's, and Stoffers Frozen Lasagna, Ned occasionally (well, actually all too often it turns out; see HERE) feasted on Southern Fried Chicken (± waffles) at Soul Brothers Kitchen.
Soul Brothers, which in its heyday in the 1970s and '80s, even into the 1990s, was a mandatory stop for African American entertainers and politicians visiting the Bay Area. Indeed such luminaries as James Brown, Whoopi Goldberg, Wesley Snipes and Reggie Jackson dined on the fried chicken. Founded by Alfred “Rip” Wilson in 1974, Soul Brothers Kitchen was just around the corner from Children's Hospital Oakland Research Institute (CHORI) at 5239 Telegraph Ave.
Consequent to the fortuitous proximity of Soul Brothers Kitchen to his laboratory, Dr. Ned Ander-Thal, and frequent dining partner Dr. Samuel T. Test, had the pleasure of eating fried chicken, black-eyed peas, red beans and rice, and collard greens all too frequently. But perhaps best loved was the fried chicken and waffle breakfest. Because of the frequency of their visits, they were often referred to by the friendly waitstaff as two of the restaurants BEST customers, just like the local TV sports anchor... who died of a massive coronary while on the treadmill at Gold's Gym..." Dr. Ander-Thal, due to his loyalty to Soul Brothers Kitchen was awarded a coveted Soul Brothers Kitchen T-Shirt in 1993 immediately before being deported to Albania.
The food at Soul Brothers Kitchen appealed to critics as well. In 1987, Oakland Tribune reviewer Janet Fletcher wrote about Wilson: “When I asked him for his secret and he answered ‘clean, fresh grease,’ I knew that man really knew his stuff. No secret ingredients, no magic tricks, just good technique.” Soul Brothers closed in 2002 when 82 year old "Rip", who did almost all the cooking, could no longer keep up in the kitchen. Mr. Wilson passed away in in 2006 at age 86.
However, the history and hunger for the fine fix'ins of Soul Brothers Kitchen continues. As Cooper Ander-Thal has become a connoisseur of 'SOLE' food as well. He can often be seen trying to steal the 'sole' food from Ned.
